Who we are

Alberta Outdoors Academy was founded by TJ Kliparchuk. Hooked on the outdoors from a young age, fishing for the first time when he was 3, and hunting with his dad when he was 8. The passion followed him his whole life, taking people he met out hunting or fishing with him. Sneaking off to the woods just to practice tracking, identifying plants, and watching wildlife in their habitat, he developed a skillset for acute details in their behaviors.

Chasing the dream, he learned about problem wildlife, zoology, birds, fish, furbearing and big game animals and conservation methods for various ecosystems across Canada. Getting a degree in conservation enforcement he has a well balanced knowledge of the environment and the laws that govern it.

But over the years he still enjoyed educating, and knew he could make a larger impact on the public by teaching the lifetime of skills, experiences and avoidable mistakes common to beginners.
