Women of the Woods - Intro to Hunting
This 8 hour course just for the ladies is broken down into two classes as it provides you with all the basics on how to get started as a hunter. Ask all the questions you want and be assured you will walk out with all the answers, confidence and knowledge to go explore the woods.
The topics covered in this workshop are:
Basic wildlife ID, including big game, predators, upland game birds, ducks & geese.
Resources for finding places to hunt.
Ballistics, how to choose the right firearm for the right animal.
Hunting safely as a woman.
Hunting tactics for deer, and small game such as upland game birds and rabbits.
Field dressing, what to do once you get your first animal.

Woman’s Marksmanship Workshop
This is an excellent introductory to using a firearm. Starting with in class instructions, you will learn how to be range safe, use a scope, and how to handle a firearm safely using the indoor electronic laser rifle made by EcoAim. This piece of equipment is used to train Olympians in shooting sports. From there we will graduate to the outdoors to shoot live firearms on the gun range.

In The Class
You will learn how to safely use a firearm using the training EcoAim system (electronic laser rifle) designed for Olympic shooters.
Ballistics - How to understand the flight of a bullet when sighting in a rifle.
Bore sighting a new firearm.
On The Range
You will shoot a .22 rimfire rifle with a scope (No Recoil)
You will shoot a 30-30 centerfire lever action open sights (Cowboy Rifle)
You will shoot a 12 gauge shotgun at clay pigeons
